Nice Sound, Stupid Lyrics

M83's "Graveyard Girl." It starts off sounding like 80s Cure or The Smiths, and I enjoyed it for a brief time. Breathy vocals, insistent drum, whaling guitar.

But the lyrics are idiotic.

"...I'm fifteen years old, and I feel that it's already too late to live, don't you?"

Jeez. This is the reason why people had such disdain for disaffected goths. But at least then, we also had "Master and Servant." Such promise, wasted with moronic lyrics.
